I had an opportunity to float down the Truckee River along the "lazy river" section, but opted for a bike ride. Lee joined me on the 10 mile ride. It was a nice ride except for the smoke in the air from all fires in Northern California.
The rest of the crew bought rafts, rather than renting them, and had several disasters along the way. The first accident caused a bag with a cell phone, wallet and camera to sink into the river. Then one of the rafts sprang a leak. Then Matt fell out of the raft. And finally ...
Upon arrival of the finish, Jon jumped out to pull the boat in and didn't realize how deep the water was. Luckily, his cigarettes survived. The whole adventure took almost the entire day but was worth the time and effort.
