Yesterday at work my department was certified CMMI Level 2. What does that mean? CMMI stands for Capability Maturity Model® Integration. It is a measurement of a project's or company's processes and procedures for software and hardware development. Level 1 is the lowest, and level 5, which is the real goal, is the highest. So obtaining a level 2 rating is actually a good thing, since most projects are operating at a level 1. Just to update my old post, the black man in the middle is now serving 6 years for accepting bribes from three subcontractors that he got work for on this project. One of the owners of the small business who bribed him is in this photo serving 18 months in prison. In total, 7 people were sent to federal prison.
