Drinking a Guinness at the newest Irish Pub in Carlsbad. I guess we chose the wrong time to go, because service was very slow and it was apparently the time that several fathers took their kids out for food, thinking that they were at a McDonald's playland. There were six young kids running around screaming and climbing on the pool tables while their dads just sat there drinking their beer. With service and an atmosphere like this, I predict the bar will close soon. However, the beer and fish and chips were good. Maybe it would be better on a Friday night when a live band is playing and the children are home sleeping.
