Getting ready to hike San Gorgonio.
For my Blogger friend's, just to keep in touch, I plan on hiking San Gorgonio tomorrow with Steve, Lee, Jim, and Darin. Gorgonio is the tallest mountain in Southern California. We are taking the Vivian Creek Trail which is the shortest but steepest route to the summit. It will take at least 10 hours to hike 16 miles with an elevation gain for 5600 feet - more than one mile up! I will have some very nice photos to post upon my return as the weather looks perfect with sunny skies. This is officially a warm-up hike for Whitney, but if we summit it will by my second most difficult hike and an accomplishment in of itself. Wish us luck.
