That's what they say to people who are disap-pointed at not making it to the peak of Mt. Whitney. So yes, we didn't make it all the way, but the hike was still a fun-filled adventure with plenty of memories and stories to be told. What stopped us? Lightening! We were about 3/4 of the way of the 97 switchbacks leading up to Trial Crest when we heard thunder. However, we made it to 13,000 feet, which is the highest I've ever climbed. Stay tuned for more stories and photos of my hiking/camping/backpacking trip.

Mt. Whitney Will Still Be There
